Windows 10: Microsoft confirms Blue Screen Of Death problems after Patchday

Finally: Microsoft confirms Blue Screen Of Death problems after Patchday

Now Microsoft has confirmed that the dreaded Blue Screen of Death may appear after the latest updates for Windows 10. The Windows team is now investigating the events and will prepare another update.

The Windows 10 team now reports this in an entry in the Knowledge Base. Over the past few weeks, we have repeatedly reported problems after the updates, but so far there has been no confirmation of Microsoft errors. This is different from a problem that may cause a blue screen of death to occur and occurred after the last patch day update – the problem has been officially confirmed. Therefore, an error often occurs for users with builds 18362.778 or 18363.778, i.e. Windows 10 version 1903 or 1909. Publication notes for KB4549951, therefore, now state:

Windows 10:known problems

Waiting for an update

There is currently no more detailed information on this. Microsoft is now increasingly asking users to use the feedback feature in case of problems.

The Windows team can post troubleshooting information at any time. Affected users may be lucky that an update that solves and solves the problem will be released before the usual day of the patch in May (May 12).
